About Ashgrove Credit Research
Ashgrove Credit Research is a research desk. The desk puts out benchmark figures and reports on the merchant cash advance market, and every page shows the method behind them.
Most merchant cash advance pricing never gets published, and that gap is the reason the desk exists. Where business owners, journalists and underwriters tend to lean on anecdote, the desk sticks to published figures and names every source.
When a business that came through this site is placed with one of the funding partners in its network, the desk gets paid. That activity has no bearing on how benchmark figures are produced, and they are never tweaked to favour a product or partner.
There are no bylines here. The desk writes every report itself and checks it against the methodology page before it goes out. Corrections are published, dated and kept.
How the desk is paid
When a business asks for options through this site and gets funded, a funding partner pays Ashgrove Credit Research. Reports are free to read, and no benchmark figure is adjusted to favour a product or partner.
The network
Ashgrove Credit Research has an exclusive network of funding partners and marketing partners that it works with. Once you send us a request, your information may be shared with those partners so they can review it and show you funding options. Your information isn't something we sell for unrelated purposes.
- 01
Numbers before words
A report leads with its figures. Any interpretation stays brief, and it never gets to alter a figure.
- 02
Sample and period stated
Each figure tells you what it came from and when. A figure without either is labelled illustrative.
- 03
Nothing invented
The desk never estimates a figure to plug a gap. An empty cell stays empty.
- 04
Corrections kept
When a report is revised, the change is dated and noted on it, and old figures are never swapped out quietly.
